Casino Streamer xQc Gets Advice: Don’t Gamble; Play Chess

The content creator Juicy tells xQc to stop streaming online gambling – and start playing chess. The criticized streamer xQc thanks him for the advice but still hasn’t been seen next to a chess board.

People can’t stop commenting on the controversial streamer xQc’s online gambling. xQc, with the birth name Félix Lengyel, denounced last year that he was addicted to gambling and would stop streaming casino games. In May this year, xQc returned to gambling almost a year later by partnering with the crypto casino Stake.

Shortly after returning to gambling, xQc revealed in a stream that his followers had lost $119 million on the casino platform using sign-up codes that he gets a commission on. The debate was intense for weeks when streamers like Pokimane condemned xQc’s behaviour, saying it’s immoral to make money from followers in such a way.

xQc has defended himself from all critics, taking back what he said last year when he apologized for his casino streams.

“I’m here to have some fun, so I’ll do so until it becomes boring,” wrote xQc and added:

“Ok, turn the computer off and go speak with your parents and peers if you want a role model for your moral compass.”

One of the latest comments in this debate comes from a video from content creator Jake’n’Bake. xQc stumbled upon the stream on June 12, where Jake’n’Bake’s friend Jucier said:

“xQc, don’t gamble; play chess.”

While seeing the video, xQc doesn’t become angry or start defending his gambling.

“Chess! Interesting, thanks man,” said xQc before he continued his live stream.

Many viewers were probably surprised by xQc’s calm reaction, considering how frantic he’s behaved on the previous criticism. In the video, Jake’n’Bake comments that chess is kind of like gambling. Most people opposing Twitch gambling streams will probably not agree at all, considering no money is involved in playing chess.

The content creator Asmongold has previously defended xQc, claiming that you can’t put moral responsibility on a single person. His approach is that Twitch could easily ban all online casino streaming, but the Amazon-owned company hasn’t made any indications for such actions so far.

This is probably not the last comment covering this topic, and we’ll keep our eyes open for whatever controversies come up.
